The guys were Irish Republican Army - IRA - re-enactors. Apparently

Olympus OM-4T, Tamron 400 mm f/4
SP, Provia 100F.
One of the pair of Mississippi kites that has returned to our
neighborhood in Arlington, Texas, each spring for the past five
years. They tried to nest in our yard one spring but were driven
away by our neighbor who refused to abandon his gardening even when they
dropped sticks on him.

Olympus OM-4T, Zuiko 100 mm f/2, Provia 100F. Here
is the sunny day. Absolutely gorgeous day. We even broke out
in a sweat while hiking up the steep trail to the north side of the
island. The white dots on the adjacent island are sheep.
